DUI Arrests: Know Your Rights

Last updated 2 years ago

Drinking and driving is illegal. If you’re drunk or drinking, then don’t drive.

Unfortunately, not all those who have been arrested and found guilty of drunk driving were actually driving drunk. According to the National Motorists Association, “any person with virtually any amount of alcohol in their system is a candidate for a drunk-driving citation and 100% responsible for any accident that may occur, regardless of who caused the accident.” This means that even if your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) is below the legal threshold, you could still be convicted of drunk driving.

It is important that you understand your legal rights if you are ever being charged with a DUI. The following video from Know Your Rights TV provides a brief overview of what rights you have if you are pulled over for driving under the influence.
